Building on last month’s Meetup discussion and previous community conversations, March’s Connect Chicago Meetup will be a collaborative Meetup about creating pathways from tech/digital skills training to entry level jobs.
Event: Connect Chicago Meetup
Date: Friday, March 31, 2017
Time: 11am – 1pm
Place: Chicago Community Trust — 225 N Michigan Ave.
This Meetup will be collaborative, centered on brainstorming new ideas, partnerships, and interventions for employment pathways in small groups. Framing the conversation will be Sprint and the nonprofit Youth Guidance who will discuss their emerging work in this area and the role cross-sector partnerships can play.
Our featured speakers include:
- Jim Mills, Region President at Sprint
- Will Hobart, Chief Program Officer at Youth Guidance
Come learn more, join the conversation, and brainstorm ways Chicago nonprofits and employers can work together to create an inclusive pipeline. Meet and network with computer trainers, nonprofit professionals, technologists, community advocates, and fellow residents who care about digital inclusion in Chicago. Please RSVP here so we can get an accurate count for lunch. Thank you!
